Role Summary
We’re seeking an AWS Developer to design, develop, and maintain cloud-native applications and data processing solutions on AWS. You’ll build scalable ETL pipelines, serverless solutions, and API integrations while ensuring secure access management using Python and AWS best practices — working closely with architects, DevOps, data engineers, and business stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Application Development: Build cloud-native apps and serverless solutions (Lambda, API Gateway) using Python; integrate AWS and third-party services via APIs and event-driven architectures.
- ETL & Data Engineering: Design and optimize ETL pipelines using AWS Glue, Redshift, and SQL; manage data from MongoDB and other sources; build and maintain Airflow DAGs for scheduling and monitoring data jobs.
- API Development: Design secure REST APIs (API Gateway, Lambda) with proper authentication/authorization.
- Security & Governance: Implement IAM roles/policies with least-privilege access; support security reviews and vulnerability remediation.
- Monitoring & Operations: Monitor workloads via CloudWatch; troubleshoot issues and drive reliability improvements through automation.
- Collaboration: Partner with cross-functional teams on design, code reviews, and documentation.
Required Skills
- Strong Python development, OOP principles, RESTful APIs
- Hands-on AWS: Glue, Lambda, API Gateway, Redshift, S3, IAM, EC2, RDS, CloudWatch (Secrets Manager a plus)
- Strong SQL and query optimization; Redshift and MongoDB experience; ETL/data warehousing knowledge
- Airflow/DAG experience (good to have)
- IAM roles/policies and API auth/authorization knowledge
- Git/GitHub, basic CI/CD understanding; Terraform a plus
Nice to Have
- Terraform/IaC, event-driven architectures, Step Functions
- Data migration/modernization experience
- Observability tools (e.g., Datadog)
