Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Senior Scrum Master / Agile Coach to lead and enable high-performing, globally distributed Scrum teams. The ideal candidate will bring deep hands-on expertise in Agile delivery, strong facilitation skills, and the ability to manage complex stakeholder relationships, dependencies, and risks across multi-team, multi-time-zone environments. This role requires someone who can drive predictable, high-quality delivery while acting as a trusted Agile advisor to both teams and leadership.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as Scrum Master for one or more Agile teams, facilitating all Scrum ceremonies (Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Review, Retrospective, Backlog Refinement)
- Lead and coordinate distributed teams across multiple countries and time zones, ensuring alignment and consistent delivery cadence
- Proactively identify, track, and manage risks, dependencies, and impediments across teams and stakeholders
- Champion Agile and Lean principles, coaching teams and stakeholders on Scrum, Kanban, and Agile best practices
- Own and maintain Jira and Confluence workspaces — including workflows, dashboards, reporting structures, automation rules, and Agile metrics (velocity, burndown, cycle time, etc.)
- Partner with Product Owners, Engineering Leads, and cross-functional stakeholders to ensure backlog health and sprint readiness
- Drive continuous improvement through data-informed retrospectives and delivery metrics
- Communicate progress, risks, and blockers clearly to stakeholders and leadership across global teams
- Support and mentor other Scrum Masters and Agile practitioners across the organization
- Ensure Agile ceremonies and processes align with broader SDLC and organizational delivery standards
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 8+ years of experience as a Scrum Master, Agile Coach, or Project Manager
- Proven experience leading Scrum teams distributed across multiple countries and time zones
- Strong hands-on expertise in Agile frameworks including Scrum and Kanban
- Experience facilitating all Scrum ceremonies and enabling predictable, high-quality delivery
- Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to manage dependencies, risks, and impediments in complex environments
- Advanced proficiency with Jira and Confluence, including workflows, dashboards, reporting, automation, and Agile metrics
- Strong communication and facilitation skills across cross-functional and global teams
- Solid understanding of SDLC and Agile delivery best practices
Desired (Nice-to-Have) Skills
- Experience working with scaled Agile frameworks such as SAFe or LeSS
- SAFe Scrum Master (SSM) and/or Certified Scrum Master (CSM) certification
- Background in software development or technical delivery roles
- Experience working in large enterprise, multi-team, or multi-vendor environments
- Experience conducting Agile workshops, training sessions, or mentoring other Scrum Masters
